The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has issued an official announcement regarding the arrest of Dhimitër Peqini and Artan Lila, suspected of the criminal offenses of  "Forgery of documents", "Forgery of identity cards, passports or visas " and " Production of means for forging documents ".

According to the Prosecution, in collaboration with each other, they carried out the illegal activity of forging various documents such as driving licenses, ID cards, residence permits, etc., Albanian and foreign (Italian, Belgian, Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, etc.). These citizens carried out this activity in exchange for payment.

As part of the simulation action, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Elbasan, has seized forged documents with created generalities (which are fictitious).

Meanwhile, during a search of the homes of the people under investigation, equipment used to produce forged documents was seized.

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, citizens Dh.P. and AL were arrested on suspicion of the criminal offenses of "Forgery of documents", "Forgery of identity cards, passports or visas" and "Production of means for forging documents" provided for in articles 186, 189 and 192 of the Penal Code.

Within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 1525, year 2024, followed by special investigation methods (environmental observations and simulation actions), after conducting investigative actions, it resulted that citizens Dh.P. and AL, in cooperation with each other, carried out the illegal activity of forging various documents such as driving licenses, ID cards, residence permits, etc., Albanian and foreign (Italian, Belgian, Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, etc.).

These citizens performed this activity in return for remuneration.

As part of the simulation action, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Elbasan, has seized forged documents with created generalities (which are fictitious).

Meanwhile, during a search of the homes of the people under investigation, equipment used to produce forged documents was seized.

The Elbasan Prosecution Office has filed requests with the Court for the legal validation of the detention and the imposition of the coercive security measure "Arrest in prison".
