Dardan Hoxhaj

A convicted Albanian drug trafficker will not be deported from the United Kingdom after a court ruled that his removal would be "unreasonably harsh" on his partner.

According to The Sun, it concerns 31-year-old Dardan Hoxhaj , who was deported to Albania in 2018, but returned illegally to Britain just a month later.

According to the immigration court's decision, his partner would face significant hardship if forced to live in Albania, while Hoxhaj was assessed to play a critical and irreplaceable role in the family.

The court heard that she suffers from complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression as a result of trafficking, while it was argued that Albania's strict code would make her reintegration difficult.

Hoxhaj first entered the United Kingdom illegally in 2017 and was subsequently sentenced to three years in prison for four criminal offences relating to a drug trafficking operation worth around £750,000.

After completing his sentence, he was deported to Albania, but managed to secretly return to Britain, where he will now be allowed to stay following a court ruling.
