The police have arrested the entrepreneur, Leonard Gjini , in connection with the serious event that happened on March 1 in Lushnje, where the explosion in a silo under construction killed 2 people and injured 7 others.

The 32-year-old Gjini was put in handcuffs by order of the prosecutor for violating the rules of protection at work with serious consequences.

Sources told VoxNews that the entrepreneur, Leonard Gjini, had not yet started work on the silo owned by the deputy, Bujar Çela .

According to the police, he was authorized to carry out the construction of the silo and allowed the works to be carried out without respecting the relevant regulations of technical insurance and occupational safety.

"From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen, with his inaction, being authorized to carry out the construction of the silo, according to the enterprise contract, has allowed the works to be carried out, without respecting the relevant regulations of technical security, technical discipline of defense in work and did not take measures for implementation, bringing serious consequences. As a result of the explosion in the fuel silo, in the "Karbunare e Madhe" district, on 01.03.2024, an explosion occurred in which 2 citizens lost their lives and 7 others were injured, whose lives are not in danger", announced police.

The blue uniforms are continuing the investigations for the full legal documentation of the circumstances of this event.
