The first victim from the bad weather that has affected the country these days has been recorded. One person lost his life in Malësia e Madhe after being struck by lightning.

The victim is citizen Arben Ivanaj and the event happened around 14:00 in the village of Dedaj in Shkreli. Sources suggest that he was staying in his neighbor's apartment, which was struck by lightning and caught fire where the flames spread rapidly.

Ivanaj was transported urgently to the hospital, but failed to survive the injuries received and consequently died.

The apartment in which the lightning struck is owned by the citizen Flamur Hoxha. The police investigation group has started towards the scene while the firefighting forces have arrived to extinguish the flames.
