Immediately after the incident that occurred on the evening of December 21, in neighborhood no. 3, Korça, the services of the Korça Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the services of the Korça Police Commissariat, carried out continuous checks to capture the perpetrator.

After identifying the suspected perpetrator, based on police intelligence, the Police services located him in neighborhood no. 6 in Korça and arrested citizen Valter Xhelillari, 38 years old, resident of Korça.

On 21.12.2024, at around 22:05, the 38-year-old man forcibly entered the premises of a second-tier bank, where he stayed for a few seconds and left immediately after noticing the presence of the Police, without taking anything.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça, for further action.

In front of the blue uniforms, AI stated that he doesn't remember what happened because he was drunk.

"I was drunk and I don't remember anything," he is reported to have said.
