Citizen Sotiraq Kolezi , 38 years old, from Bilishti, was arrested .

He had access to more than 100,000 cryptocurrency wallets belonging to these victims, the value of which is likely to reach millions of euros.

The latest phase of the operation was conducted under the coordination of Europol headquarters in The Hague and targeted Rhadamanthys, one of the largest information-stealing programs, the VenomRAT remote access Trojan, and the Elysium botnet, which played a key role in international cybercrime.

The network that was dismantled was responsible for attacks against hundreds of thousands of victims worldwide with malicious software.

Operation Endgame, coordinated by Europol and Eurojust, is a joint effort between law enforcement and judicial authorities in Greece, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States to combat those promoting malicious programs.

These coordinated actions led to:

– An arrest in Greece (on November 3)

– Checks in 11 locations (one in Greece, one in Germany and 9 in the Netherlands)

– Disruption or closure of more than 1,025 servers worldwide

– Seizure of 20 internet domains.

The dismantled malware network consisted of hundreds of thousands of infected computers containing several million pieces of stolen data.

Many of the victims were unaware that their systems had been targeted.
