The Electoral College has filled the vacant seats this Monday by choosing by lot the 8 new members who will have a 4-year term.

Among the 95 judges, 8 selected according to the lottery which was cast in the premises of the Supreme Judicial Council, are:  Ornela Naqellari, Alma Kodraliu, Iliba Bezati, Entela Shedula, Enkel Peza, Rexhep Bekteshi, Artan Çupi and Lutfie Cami.

With the change in the law, the judges of the First Instance can also run for membership of the Electoral College, not only those of the Appeal as was the case earlier.

The change of this law was also reflected in the high number of candidates who applied for vacancies.

The Electoral College examines the complaints of political parties that have not found a solution in the CEC and the KAS.
