A 20-year-old man in Tropoja has lost his life, after he was accidentally shot by a person while hunting, according to the police.

"Today at noon, the services of the Tropoja Police Station have received information that in the village of Kepenek, citizen EH, 20 years old, a resident of Tropoja, died as a result of gunshot wounds."

The serious event was recorded in the village of Kepenek. The perpetrator of the murder has been identified as a 38-year-old man with the initials GN, who was arrested by the police.

"Police services and the investigative team went to the scene. From the quick investigative actions, it turned out that the citizen GN, during the hunt, allegedly accidentally shot the citizen EH, who died due to injuries, in a forest area, in the place called "Kepenek Creek". During the search in the area, 1 semi-automatic rifle and ammunition were found and seized. The Police Services accompanied the citizen GN, 38 years old, resident of the village of Viçidol, Tropoja, to the Police Station, for further actions, and at the end of the first actions, he was arrested."

So, the work of the Prosecutor's Office is continuing to document the circumstances of this event.
