Serious in Fier, man impregnates a girl with mental health problems

A serious incident has been discovered by the Fier Prosecutor's Office, which has sent to court a person accused of having sexual relations with people unable to defend themselves.

The investigation began with a complaint from the injured party, a citizen with the initials K.Ç. The prosecution says that after a medical examination she was informed that she was two months pregnant. The forensic psychiatric examination confirmed that she presented low intellectual development, compared to the mental age of a 6-year-old.

Subsequently, the authorities took samples from the injured party's aborted fetus and, comparing it with the genetic profile from the samples taken from the suspect, citizen M.Ç., it resulted in a father-daughter genetic relationship.

After this finding, the injured party was questioned again. She confirmed the fact that she had had sexual intercourse with citizen M.Ç., about whom she indicated that this person had abused her, having intercourse in her apartment, against her will. This fact was also confirmed by other statements, which indicated that the injured party had told about this event.

"Citizen M. Ç., taking advantage of their economic, mental and family situation, had sexual relations with her. Under these conditions, this citizen was immediately detained," the prosecution announced.
