They tied him up, shot him and threw him into the river - Details of the mafia

New details emerge from the investigation into the murder of 35-year-old Albanian Ferdinant Hoti, whose body was found inside a vehicle submerged in the Tergola River, in San Giorgio delle Pertiche, Italy.

Hoti, a resident of Mirano, was found dead in the back seat of a black Fiat Bravo, without license plates. His body had been placed in a black bag and weighed down with car tires in an attempt to keep him submerged.

According to initial forensic examinations, the 35-year-old was shot at close range. At the time of execution, his hands were tied.

The autopsy revealed another important detail: Hoti had died before his body ended up in the water. No signs of water were found in his lungs, ruling out the possibility that he had drowned.

The car owner did not report the theft.

One of the main questions of the investigation relates to the vehicle used to transport and hide the body.

The Carabinieri have managed to identify the owner of the Fiat Bravo through the chassis number, after the car was found without license plates in the Tergola basin.

It concerns a person who resides in the province of Venice and who had not reported the theft of the vehicle.

The owner has been questioned by the carabinieri, who are trying to uncover how the car ended up in the hands of the perpetrators and whether he has any connection to the incident.

The Albanian's last evening is being reconstructed

Investigators are reconstructing Hoti's movements during the evening of Monday, September 7, to discover who he met with and where he was before he was executed.

At the same time, security camera footage in the area is being analyzed, including cameras from a woodworking shop near where the vehicle was found.

The fact that the body was placed in a bag and weighed down with tires, while the car was pushed into the water, has reinforced investigators' suspicions that this was a planned execution and a deliberate attempt to cover up the tracks.

The choice of the place where the car was abandoned is also being investigated. The vehicle was spotted in the early hours of the morning by several people passing through the area, just a few dozen meters from a busy roundabout in Torre di Burri.

Investigators do not rule out the possibility that the perpetrators were well acquainted with the area and characteristics of the Tergola basin.

Meanwhile, investigations continue to uncover the motive for the murder, identify the perpetrators, and determine the role of other people who may have had knowledge of the incident.
