According to police sources, during a family quarrel, the 51-year-old punched and then stabbed his wife. The victim was taken to the hospital, but the doctors were unable to save him due to severe chest and abdominal injuries.

The motives of the incident are still unknown, but according to the police, the couple had problems recently, where the victim was threatened and beaten repeatedly by Vladimir.

The three children of the couple have been taken under the protection of the police and are being treated by psychologists. The perpetrator of the murder has been arrested and is being sent to the island's police. He was hiding in a nearby olive grove.

The 41-year-old (victim) had denounced her husband twice for domestic violence, even the second time he was released by order of the prosecutor, but on the condition that he did not approach the victim more than 100 meters.

According to ERT, the author, after a quarrel, severely beat his wife and then managed to stab her several times in the chest and neck. The unfortunate woman expired a short time later in the hospital.

He then came out of the house to be arrested this morning by men of the Zakynthos Police Department and admitted to killing his 49-year-old wife.

According to the information, the author was arrested in the area of ​​Keri, where he went to the building where he worked, as if nothing had happened. The author is being held at the Zakynthos police and is expected to go to the prosecutor's office today and to the investigator tomorrow. The couple have three children, two minors, with the grown son living outside Zakynthos.
