Suspected of drug trafficking, SPAK asks the GJKKO to dismiss the case against
Selim Cekaj

The Special Court was unable to reach a verdict for Selim Çekaj, the father of Arbër Çekaj, a person who trafficked 613 kg of cocaine through a fruit company.

For the second time, SPAK has requested the dismissal of the case with the argument that the accusation of his involvement in drug trafficking is not proven.

But Judge Erjon Bani stated in today's session that he will make a decision after learning about the verdict of his son Arber Cekaj, who was convicted of drug trafficking.

Selim Çekaj was arrested in October 2021 after 49 kg of cocaine was seized inside containers belonging to the company in his name. He is currently being held without security measures.
