Two young Albanian men, aged 20 and 26, have been arrested by Italian police, accused of being involved in the criminal activity of drug trafficking.
Italian media write that after the suspicious movements of a 26-year-old Albanian man, who was riding his bicycle in the city of Foligno, the carabinieri followed and stopped him.
Shortly before being arrested, the young man attempted to throw away 13 doses of cocaine, for a total of approximately 13 grams, which were later found and seized.
Officers then conducted a search of the suspect's home, where they apprehended the 20-year-old accomplice, who was caught trying to conceal a large bag containing several more packages of cocaine, with a total weight of 1.6 kg, and 400 g of hashish.
Police also seized 6,095 euros in banknotes of various denominations, believed to be the proceeds of illegal activity, as well as several electronic devices, including mobile phones and a tablet.
The two young Albanians, with the Spoleto Public Prosecutor's Office, were sent to prison.
