The Supreme Court has left the owner and administrator of "Alba Ekzotik Fruit" in prison.

Eduart Dauti and Bajron Gumeni had requested a milder security measure, but the Supreme Court has left in force the decision of the Durrës Court of Appeal.

They are accused of cocaine trafficking related to the quantities of drugs that were found in containers with bananas that came on behalf of the company "Alba Ekzotik Fruit" in the port of Durrës, in 6 episodes in different quantities of several kg.

The last cocaine load of "Alba Exotic Fruit" fell into the nets of the police on October 12 in the port of Durrës. In one of the containers that came on behalf of the company "Alba Exotic Fruit", a quantity of 10 kilograms and 185 grams of cocaine was seized.

This was the sixth time that cocaine was found in the containers of this company. The fifth time was on September 7, when about 7.7 kg of cocaine divided into 8 packages were seized. The saga does not stop there, since on July 26 and 29, quantities of 5 to 7 kg of cocaine were found in the ventilation part, and also on 12.10.21.

We remind you that in 2019 this company was seized in Greece in the port of Piraeus with a load of 137 kg of cocaine, which had the port of Durrës as its final destination. At that time cocaine was replaced by rice by the US DEA.

'Alba Exotic Fruit' is a company that has been operating in the market since 2011 and is owned by Eduart Dauti and Barjon Gumen. The latter was arrested on July 13, when the police discovered the load of 11.6 kilograms of cocaine, to which Gumeni stated that he has no connection.
