The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal of Jamarbër Malltez regarding the privatization of the "Partizani" complex.
Malltez's lawyers had applied to the Supreme Court to overturn the decision of the Special Appeal of June 28, 2024, which left him under house arrest. The Supreme Court has decided not to accept the appeal presented by Malltezi.
The lawyers of the former prime minister and Malltez addressed the Special Appeal regarding the SPAK's two-month information on the investigations. They demanded the abolition of the "house arrest" security measure imposed by the court. But the Appeal left the measures of the GJKKO in force and as a result the Supreme Court "sealed" the decisions of the two levels below.
Thus, Malltezi will continue to remain under house arrest as the file for the Partizani complex has already arrived for trial at the GJKKO.
Berisha and Malltezi are accused by SPAK of "passive corruption carried out in cooperation" for the privatization of the former "Partizani" sports complex. Since December 30, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has been under house arrest.
