Petrit Vasili signed on behalf of LSI the contract with the GSIS company to enable Meta to meet in the USA in 2016. Ilir Meta continues to deny the leaked documents.

In the second criminal file that former deputy Halit Valteri has referred to SPAK, there is talk of the creation of a group of politicians and businessmen by Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi, in order to implement a scheme of corruption, money laundering and concealment of wealth. According to the criminal report, the group is headed by Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi, while Petrit Vasili, Edmond Panariti, Elona Guri, Muharrem Berisha, Iris Zajmi, Elena Gace, Jori Prifti and Agron Xhafa are part of it.

In the criminal report it is stated that MP Petrit Vasili, as a representative of LSI, signed one of the lobbying contracts with the company Global Security and Innovative Strategies, on February 3, 2016, where 123 thousand USD were paid, to enable meetings with members of the US Congress, meetings with officials of the Department of Justice and the Department of State.

This expenditure has not been declared by the LSI at the CEC, nor by Ilir Meta, Monika Kryemadhi and Petrit Vasili at the ILDKPKI. According to the prosecutor, we are facing the criminal offenses of money laundering, concealment of assets, corruption and forgery.

Attached to the criminal report are the lobbying contract, the financial report of LSI in 2016 as well as the asset statements of Meta, Kryemadhi and Vasili for 2016. The presentation of these documents seriously compromises Petrit Vasili, who risks being taken as a defendant by SPAK .

Meanwhile, President Ilir Meta continues to deny the published lobbying contracts.

"Those who are looking for asylum papers to escape justice here and others who are here continue the business of incinerators continue to do their best. This is a system that will be shaken from the foundation starting from July 25, but until July 24 we will do our duty with full responsibility and we hope that there will be reflections when it comes to issues of national interest", stated Meta.

SPAK has registered criminal proceedings for lobbying contracts. It is now up to SPAK and the courts to have the last word on whether or not the lobbying contracts stand and why they have not been declared in Albania. /albania.com
