A 60-year-old man has tragically lost his life, as he was suffocated by smoke due to the hotel room where he was staying in Divjaka, owned by him.

The victim is the citizen Llambri Marku, 60 years old, and the incident happened around 10:30 yesterday evening.

"From preliminary actions, it is suspected that during the night a fire was accidentally caused in the room where the 60-year-old was staying, who as a result was asphyxiated and then burned." it is stated in the Police announcement.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Lushnjë Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances of the event
