New details have been revealed about the serious incident that occurred the day before in Italy, when two sisters of Albanian origin jumped from the building where they lived.
According to La Repubblica, they were thrown from the fourth floor of the building, while the minor children were inside the apartment.
The children of one of the two women were present at the time of the incident at home.
Local media reports that the fear that she could lose custody of her four children, aged 3 to 9, is behind the tragedy that led to the death of the 31-year-old of Albanian origin.
Her 34-year-old sister, who was very close to the victim, was also with her. The tragedy comes just days after the next child custody hearing was scheduled.
The woman had been separated from her husband for some time, and had long been a victim of abuse. The man was also sentenced to 4 months, but was acquitted on a second charge.
Police are continuing their investigation into other causes that may have led the sisters to commit the extreme act.
