DETAILS from the TRAGIC accident in Shkodër–Lezha/ 37-year-old man

A serious accident occurred this afternoon at around 2:50 PM on the Shkodër-Lezha road, involving three vehicles.

According to preliminary data, a truck driven by 42-year-old TK is suspected of having lost control and initially collided with another vehicle, only to then be involved in a collision with the car driven by 37-year-old Gjin Bzhangaj.

As a result, Gjin Bzhangaj died in hospital, while his 32-year-old wife and two minor children were injured, but their lives are out of danger. The police and the investigation team are working to fully clarify the causes of the accident.

Police announcement:

At around 2:50 p.m., on the "Shkodër - Lezhë" road axis, a road accident occurred involving three vehicles.

Citizen TK, 42 years old, while driving his truck, is suspected of having lost control of the vehicle and as a result the vehicle initially collided with the vehicle driven by AS, 63 years old, and then the vehicle driven by citizen Gj. B., 37 years old, was also involved in the accident.

As a result of the collision, citizen Gj. B. died at the Shkodra Regional Hospital, while his wife, citizen JB, 32 years old, and two minor children, passengers in the same vehicle, were injured. The injured are out of danger.

The investigation team continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances and determine the cause of the accident.
