A 20-year-old man was taken hostage by two people in Tirana, who threatened him to give them a sum of money.

The incident happened yesterday in the premises of a business. Official sources from the State Police inform that AM, 39 years old, and AD, 37 years old, both residents of Tirana, took the 20-year-old KL hostage, threatening to kill him if he did not give them the money.

After the announcement, the Police managed to arrest the 2 perpetrators.

"Tirana / They took away the freedom of a citizen and threatened him, to give them a sum of money, thanks to the immediate reaction of the Police, the 2 suspected perpetrators were identified and put in handcuffs.

Services of Police Station No. 4, immediately after the announcement that a citizen had been deprived of his freedom for several hours, 2 other citizens organized the work to identify and capture the perpetrators and bring them to legal responsibility.

As a result of the immediate response of the Police services, the 2 suspected perpetrators were identified and arrested, citizens AM, 39 years old, and AD, 37 years old, both residents of Tirana.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, yesterday, in the premises of a business, deprived the citizen of KL, 20 years of age, of his freedom for several hours, and threatened him to give them, a sum of money.

The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the Police announced.
