Bomb in Durrës, Police: It was deactivated, it was connected to a mobile

A small amount of explosive material, connected to a mobile phone, was found this morning on the street, in neighborhood no. 3 in Durrës.

After detecting the suspicious object, the Police services immediately secured the perimeter and took measures to guarantee the safety of citizens.

RENEAS engineering specialists arrived at the scene, carried out the intervention and made it possible to deactivate the explosive, eliminating any possible danger.

Durrës/Additional information Following the announcement made earlier, regarding the finding of a mobile phone connected to a suspicious object on the street, in neighborhood no. 3, Durrës, we would like to inform you that, upon arrival at the scene, the Police services have taken the necessary measures to secure the perimeter and guarantee the safety of citizens. 

RENEAS' engineering specialists have carried out the necessary actions and have made it possible to deactivate the small amount of explosive material that was connected to the mobile device, eliminating any possible risk.

Meanwhile, the investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its work to fully clarify and document the circumstances of the case.
