
The Dibra Police have announced that on the evening of May 9, at around 9:15 PM, they received a phone call denouncing Xhemal Gjunkshi , a candidate for deputy from the Democratic Party, who claimed that representatives of the Socialist Party were distributing money in exchange for votes in the administrative unit, Maqellarë .
Immediately after the alert, a special investigative group of the Dibër Local Police Directorate was sent to the field, which, under the direction of SPAK and the District Prosecutor's Office, carried out the first procedural and investigative actions.
According to the official police announcement, the materials have been referred to SPAK for the criminal offense of "Active Corruption in Elections", while the investigation also includes the offenses of " Self-righteousness" and "Obstruction of the circulation of road transport vehicles ".
Proceedings for this event are citizens AK, 29 years old; HH, 48 years old; Xh.Gj., 62 years old (the denouncing candidate of the DP); and E.Gj., 33 years old.

On 09.05.2025, at around 21.15, the Operations Room of the Dibër Local Police Directorate received a call from citizen Xh.Gj., (candidate for deputy of the Democratic Party political entity), who stated that in Maqellarë, representatives of the Socialist Party political entity were suspected of distributing sums of money in exchange for votes to residents of this unit.
Immediately, the special investigative group of the Dibër Local Police Directorate went to the given address and, under the direction of SPAK and the Dibër District Prosecutor's Office, all necessary investigative actions were carried out.
Regarding the above, the procedural materials were referred to SPAK, for the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections", related to the criminal offenses "Self-judgment", "Obstruction of the circulation of road transport vehicles", charged with citizens AK, 29 years old; HH, 48 years old; Xh.Gj., 62 years old; E.Gj., 33 years old.
