Amidst great pain, the Muçaj family opened their doors to Top Channel, recounting the hostages, their son's dreams, and the untold stories of the worst tragedy that the entire area and city of Durrës has suffered in recent years.

"Running away, moving, now it's cut off my arms. These days I spend every day that I go out on, it seems like it's calling to me: 'Dad, why don't you take me?' I'll come, Dad, I tell him, I'll come."

So I have no comments. What else can I say? I speak, I see him everywhere, I get it. 'Why doesn't dad pick me up?!', he says. I'll come, I tell him. He just calls me," said father Ermal Muçaj.

Enea lost his life while enjoying an ice cream with his close friend Klesin, who also lost his life. Along with them was Enea's aunt's son, Arbioni, 8 years old, who underwent another surgery at the Trauma Hospital today.

Enea had many dreams. He was very enthusiastic because this Friday he would go with his class to Vlora, but…

Besides his passion for football, he projected his future alongside his father, to become a strong supporter of the family.

"I would see him smiling and say, 'Hey, dad, are you going to be like your dad?'. 'Yes,' he would say. 'I'm going to do it professionally, I'll come with you to help,' he would say. Mechanic... He was very passionate..", his father said.

But this dream was cut short by an accident that, according to the family, was foreshadowed, if not prevented. The father denounces the negligence of the institutions, while their continuous denunciations of the suspected perpetrator fell on deaf ears.

"I didn't owe the man anything and I don't know. I don't know how... it would have been prevented with 100 signatures. We spent months, months and months receiving reports, phone calls from all the residents of the neighborhood. Even the police came, laughing... a funny thing," he said.

The parent's accusation weighs heavily on the police and the lack of road safety, where the danger, according to him, is present for all children.

"It was everyday, everyday. Cork. It was uncontrollable, but the corrupt police officers left it, drank coffee and turned the page."

We would say to the institutions: you are not letting our children pass on the road, you are crushing them on the sidewalk. Now you have not built any parks. Where can we leave our children? Just tell us this, where can we leave them?…”, the father said.

Aeneas' grandmother is also overwhelmed by grief. Amidst the suffering for the grandson she raised with sacrifices, she tries to find strength, while eagerly waiting to learn about the progress of her other grandson who was injured.

"I'm a grandmother, but I've barely raised him. My son is gone, he's 13 now... what can I say, as you can see. I can barely stand. The only bad thing is that I need patience. Patience, son, patience, and the bride will be patient. We are grandparents, but these are parents. Even so... I'll be patient, but it's a very strong pain," said the grandmother.

Today, the only force keeping this family afloat are the other two children.

"I see this one, as if I have it close. I see this one and the chick, I say I have them close, but it still seems like it's calling me," said the father.

While the Muçaj and Nikolli families, neighbors for a lifetime, seek strength from the living, justice remains the only demand that can bring some peace to the memory of Enea and Klesi, as well as concrete measures to be taken to prevent other tragedies on these streets.
