Apartment and garage/ Tirana Prosecution seizes assets of man sentenced to 10

The Tirana Prosecution Office has seized two apartments and a garage owned by citizen AA, sentenced to 10 years in prison for the criminal offense of drug trafficking.

According to the Prosecution, investigations have revealed that the legal income of AA and his family members does not justify the assets created.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, the financial analysis and the accounting expertise report have identified a significant disproportion between declared income and investments made in movable and immovable property.

The investigations revealed that the citizen did not have the financial means to make these investments with legal sources.

At the conclusion of the property investigation, it was assessed that the assets meet the legal criteria for seizure, as they are suspected of having been created from criminal activities related to drug trafficking, an offense provided for in Article 283/ai of the Criminal Code.

What was seized?

-a 1+1 apartment with an area of ​​66.33 m² and a 44 m² veranda, located in a multifunctional complex on "Xhanfize Keko" street;

-a 2+1 apartment with an area of ​​87.9 m², as well as a 16 m² garage on the -2nd floor of a multifunctional complex under construction on "Kahreman Ylli" street.

The prosecution emphasizes that property investigations aim to identify and seize assets suspected of being created by criminal activity, in accordance with legislation on the prevention and suppression of assets of illegal origin.
