As of Thursday, Besnik Myftari will no longer be under house arrest, but will be investigated by prosecutors Altin Dumani and Elida Kaçkini with the measure of "compulsory appearance".

A security measure was imposed against Myftari in absentia, while she was executed just a few weeks ago.

He is suspected of laundering drug traffickers' money, while managing to open television, radio, and news portals on their behalf.

DECIDED:

Acceptance of the request of the applicant Besnik Myftari.
Replacement of the personal security measure of a coercive nature “House arrest”, provided for by article 237 of the Code of Criminal Procedure against the applicant Besnik Myftari, imposed by decision no. 31, dated 10.06.2026, of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, Tirana, confirmed by decision no. 49, dated 19.06.2026, of the same court, with the personal security measure of a coercive nature “Obligation to appear at the judicial police”, provided for by article 234 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The person under investigation, Besnik Myftari, is ordered to appear before the judicial police officers at the National Bureau of Investigation, who are conducting investigative actions within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 287/1 of 2021 of the Special Prosecution Office, on the third Friday of each month, at 12:00.
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, Tirana, is ordered to execute this decision.
The court costs remain as incurred.
An appeal may be filed against the decision at the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, Tirana, within 5 (five) days, starting from the day after the notification of the reasoned decision of the court.
