The Tirana Court of Appeal has decided to change the security measure against producer Petri Bozo, replacing the "prison arrest" measure with "house arrest".

She has ordered his immediate release from detention.

The Appeals Court's decision comes after the request submitted earlier by Bozo's defense for the replacement of the security measure.

The request was initially reviewed by the Elbasan Court, which decided to dismiss it, leaving the "prison arrest" measure in effect.

After the appeal, the case was referred to the Tirana Court of Appeal, which assessed the defense's request differently and imposed a lighter security measure.

Bozo was being held in prison after crushing a 7-year-old child to death.

Little Algit Samurri, a first grade student, lost his life while his mother was walking him to school.

The tragic accident occurred on the Elbasan-Librazhd national highway, near the Mengël village school.

According to witnesses at the scene, the child was crossing the road with his mother, but at some point he escaped her attention and ended up under the wheels of the car.
