During the three days of protests, a significant number of businesses were damaged and destroyed, while the police's protection and response to them was minimal, if not non-existent.

We are near a bank branch which appears to be in such a state through this destroyed ATM. Such a situation has resulted in the interruption of services and the daily impossibility of them for citizens.

"Catastrophic, why is the economy being hit?"

"Before, you could get inside much faster, now we're waiting in line outside, look how they've blocked it. Businesses need to be protected because some of them are private. There needs to be an increased police presence."

Speaking to Top Channel, security employees of the damaged banks said that the situation was even more problematic. They said that during the damage to the businesses they notified the State Police, but no help arrived. The only protection left was that of private security companies:

"I pressed the panic button and no one came, we also requested help from the police, they were not present. I was left alone for the moment. Our private forces came to me, but everything was broken."

The damage caused and uncertainty have led some businesses to take additional measures to protect their premises.

As a result of the lack of protection during these 3 days of protests, over 15 branches of second-tier banks have been damaged.

"Over 15 bank branches have been damaged by acts of violence in recent days, hitting spaces where citizens receive their salaries, conduct transactions and fulfill their daily obligations. I want to assure all citizens that their deposits are safe. Our banking system is sound, well-capitalized and supervised," said Delina Ibrahimaj.

In such a situation, banking services have limited the number of branches, while guaranteeing the safety of citizens' deposits.

But beyond the savings guarantees, it remains essential for businesses to have security in the premises where they operate. Protection of private property, timely response to danger alerts and a greater police presence in areas with high economic activity are essential elements, according to them, to prevent the recurrence of such situations.
