The Durrës Prosecutor's Office has requested "imprisonment" measures for five officials of the Rrogozhin Municipality who are accused of having committed the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty", "Forgery" and "Fraud" with reconstruction funds, causing damage to the state budget. a damage in the amount of ALL 353,471,090.

The Court of First Instance of Durres has approved the request of the Durres Prosecutor's Office for the following citizens: MM (former employee of Rrogozhin Municipality), Xh.U. (currently responsible for the Office of Youth and Sports, Rrogozhin Municipality), BB (employee in Rrogozhin Municipality), EL (former employee, Rrogozhin Municipality), ER (currently specialist in the human resources office, Rrogozhin Municipality).

In the press release from the Durrës prosecutor's office, it is stated that the investigation results that the aforementioned citizens have committed the above criminal offenses in at least 78 cases. The investigation shows that the flats for which the compensation was given due to the damage caused by the earthquake were not for housing, but in their files other objects were noted, including pig and cow sheds.

Also, in addition to the arrested persons, the prosecution says that the 78 citizens who cooperated for the benefit of the reconstruction funds are also under investigation. The latter are accused of the criminal offense "Fraud" provided by Article 143 of the Criminal Code.
