Eighteen citizens of Bulqiza presented themselves to the Bulqiza hospital on Sunday with symptoms of poisoning. The cause of the poisoning has not yet been determined, as the cases presented to the hospital come from different areas of the city and not just from a specific neighborhood or village.

In order to clarify this event, drinking water analyzes were taken from the Bulqize NJVKSH Health Care Unit together with the Dibër Water and Sewerage Directorate at 7 (seven) points in some areas of the city.

The poisoned people who received treatment at the Bulqiza Hospital state that they had abdominal pain, vomiting and headaches. Many of them suspect that the cause of the poisoning is the drinking water.

The treatment protocol from the hospital service doctor was Acute Gastroenteritis, which is used in cases of poisoning.

In Lagje e Re, for more than a year, works are being carried out for the rehabilitation of waste water. Such a situation is repeated in Bulqiza and the surrounding administrative units, as residents have sought medical help in several previous cases due to water poisoning.
