The Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office has issued an official announcement regarding the serious incident that occurred in Përmet, where a 16-year-old girl was sexually abused by her stepfather, a police officer, and by another police officer in Tepelena.

The Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office announces that it has issued 4 detention orders, 2 of which for the aforementioned citizens, stepfather Pajtim Baka and officer Artur Ago, as well as 2 other arrest warrants for the girl's 46-year-old boyfriend and his 26-year-old friend.

The latter are suspected of having encouraged the minor to film an intimate video with officer Artur Ago and, through her, blackmailed him by demanding a sum of 12 thousand euros for not publishing the footage.

The Prosecution also announces that the Police have managed to execute 3 restraining orders so far.

Officer Artur Ago, an employee of the Tepelena Police Station, has been declared wanted. According to the Prosecutor's Office, he is in Greece.

The Gjirokastra Prosecution Office issues four arrest warrants, two for police officers for the criminal offense of 'Sexual Harassment' against minors

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra has issued four detention orders for citizens IP, 26, and KP alias EP, 46, under investigation for the criminal offense "Coercion by threat to give up property", provided for in Article 109/b and 25 of the Criminal Code, and for citizens AA and PB, two police officers, persons under investigation for the criminal offense "Sexual harassment", provided for in Article 108/a/2 of the Criminal Code.

On 17.09.2025, it was learned from the police officers of the AMP Vlora - Gjirokastra Directorate and the Gjirokastra Local Police Directorate that a local media outlet had a video material showing a police officer during a conversation with a minor citizen, during which he committed acts of a sexual nature.

Under the direction of the Prosecution, an investigative group was immediately created, consisting of two prosecutors, judicial police officers from the prosecution section, AMP officers and officers from the Gjirokastra Local Police Directorate, who made it possible within a few hours to clarify the dynamics of the event and identify all suspects.

During preliminary investigative actions, it emerged that citizens IP, 26 years old, and KP alias EP, 46 years old, in collaboration between them, exerted pressure on a minor citizen, threatening this citizen and forcing her to make a video recording in August 2025, with citizen AA, a police officer, where this citizen appeared in intimate moments.

These two citizens, using the minor citizen, have threatened the police officer for publishing the video on an investigative show and have demanded from this citizen an amount of 12,000 Euros for not publishing the video. During the investigation, another case of sexual harassment against a minor citizen was found, with another police officer as a suspect.

In view of the above, today, on 18.09.2025, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra issued four detention orders for citizens IP, 26 years old, and KP, alias EP, 46, persons under investigation for the criminal offense "Coercion by threat to give up property", provided for by article 109/b and 25 of the Criminal Code, and for citizens AA and PB, two police officers, persons under investigation for the criminal offense "Sexual harassment", provided for by article 108/a/2 of the Criminal Code. The Police have executed three detention orders so far.
