The banner "Kosovo is Serbia" interrupts the match in Romania

The eliminatory match between Romania and Kosovo was interrupted by the main referee of the meeting after a slogan of the Romanian ultras that read "Kosovo is Serbia" and nationalist calls from the local fans.

Political banners or nationalist chants are categorically prohibited by UEFA and therefore the referee did not think twice and forced both teams to enter the dressing room until a second decision was made.

Romania is one of the 5 countries of the European Union, which have not yet recognized the independence of Kosovo.

As for this group, this match is quite important and can determine a lot for the continuation of the two teams.
