Cristian Shpendi continues with the excellent form of the Cesena team. In the first three official matches for this season, the Albanian striker has scored four goals, surprising everyone.

At the weekend, the 21-year-old scored a Serie B brace in a 2-1 win over Carrarese. Seeing the extraordinary form, Cesena decided to protect the attacker, offering him a contract renewal.

This was confirmed by the sports director himself, Fabio Artico, who stated that an agreement has been reached to extend the cooperation for four more seasons.

"With Shpendi and his manager, we found the chord on Saturday when we were in Bentegodi. Cristian deserved a rating and will sign a four-year contract. Everything is done. I think it will come as soon as the market closes", declared Artico.

Last season, Shpendi made a special contribution to Cesena in Serie C, securing his team's promotion, with 20 goals scored in 32 games.
