Harry Kane was England's hero in the match against Albania. The Bayern Munich striker scored two decisive goals for the "Three Lions" in the duel against the Rossoneri, thus sealing his team's triumph.
After the challenge, he admitted that it was a difficult match, even one of the most difficult they had played in the group. Among other things, he emphasized that he was lucky in the set pieces.
"It was a really tough match, one of the toughest we had in the group. We had to be patient and press them, which we did and ended up with a 2-0 win and another clean sheet."
"In the first half we had shots from outside the goal, then when Saka came in, we knew how good he is at the near post. So we went to the near post, we had a bit of luck with the set piece, but luckily I was there to deflect it.
"If you're going to go far in any tournament, you need a whole team, you need players who are not just starters, who come off the bench and make the difference. That's football. It's not just 11 who play, the guys come in and make the difference," the Englishman concluded.
