The Serbian football team suffered a heavy defeat in the World Cup qualifiers, losing at home to England with an embarrassing score of 5:0.

They will now face Albania in a decisive match in the race for second place, which consequently brings qualification for the World Cup finals.

The match will be played in a month and is scheduled to take place at the "Rajko Miti?" stadium in Belgrade, where the last match against England was also played.

However, the Football Federation of Serbia says that the possibility of changing the location is being considered, so that the home team can move to the Leskovac stadium.

"Now the next one is only three weeks away, at least then the training begins for the most important match in the qualifiers, for the match with Albania, which will directly decide who will go to the playoffs for the World Cup," said the general secretary of the Football Federation of Serbia, Branko Radujko, for Tanjug.

He also added that the Serbian Football Federation's wish is for the match with Albania to take place in Leskovec. "We are working intensively to obtain approval for the change of location for that match, Leskovec is an environment where the national team has always prepared in peace, where it has been welcomed with unstinting support in an extremely positive atmosphere and where it has recorded some very important positive results. I am confident that we will play there, in Leskovec - emphasized Radujko.

The Leskovac stadium called "Doçica" has a modest capacity of 8,000 seats, compared to the Marakana in Belgrade, which has a capacity of around 52,000 seats, where the match with Albania was initially scheduled to take place.

However, the recent events in the match against England are expected to bring a severe punishment for holding at least the next match without fans, in addition to a hefty fine in euros. This is apparently, but also the fear of a repeat of past events and the inability to control their hooligans, and the organizers themselves are seeking to get away from them as much as possible.
