Renowned journalist Dritan Shakohoxha has had another bad experience in Serbia after what happened 11 years ago in Belgrade.

Today he traveled again to the Serbian capital to be at the stadium tomorrow for the national team match, while he was detained at the airport along with other colleagues from Albania, being held there for nearly 3 hours without being given any official explanation.

Shakohoxha confirmed to Tch that they were held by Serbian police for a very long time at the airport.

"It was another absurd situation. They took my passport and some other colleagues from Albania and didn't give us any explanation. Then I saw my name, Arlind Sadiku's and some other commentators from Albania who were there and they had put us on some kind of strange list. They kept asking us 'why we went to Belgrade.' They would leave. They would come back: they would ask, they would leave again. An endless madness. Until finally they allowed us to leave," said Shakohoxha.

He was then asked if he would be at the stadium tomorrow and said he would go there if the Serbs did not do "crazy things" against Albanian journalists again.

Meanwhile, sports journalist Ervin Baku told an interesting version of the incident. He said that the Albanian journalists had gone in a car with Macedonian license plates to avoid such incidents. While Baku claimed that he himself had gone in a car with Albanian license plates, and even "raised his voice" at the Serbs, who then let his colleagues pass.

"We were held for about 40 minutes for no reason. Our car was searched from A to Z. Maybe being a member of the international sports press association helped us there, in the meantime we found our 4 colleagues there and they had been there for 2 hours and 30 minutes. When we arrived at Serbian customs we found 4 journalists in a car with Macedonian license plates, maybe because they didn't want to have problems on the way. We decided to come with Albanian license plates. Upon our arrival at customs, our colleagues had been there for 2 hours and 3 minutes and they let us go after 10 minutes of us being there. I raised my voice. They searched our car as if we were ordinary people. We couldn't catch Sylvinjo's conference. The police are monitoring us, monitoring our every move. They say that for your safety we have to be like this," says journalist Ervin Baku.
