Erling Haaland has taught us with his extreme diet consisting of raw milk, steaks and other "superfoods", a dietary regime that he will maintain during the World Cup. In its delegation, Norway has included three world-famous chefs, who will cook traditional dishes to enable the footballers to continue to eat products they know and respect their usual diet despite being on another continent.

The federation has not chosen ordinary chefs, but three well-known professionals: Aron Espeland, Eirik Tufte and Christian Karlsson, the national team's head chef since the 1990s. He began studying the menu a year ago, according to the newspaper VG.no, which has access to the team's kitchens. The players will continue to follow their usual diet, with ingredients that have arrived in the US directly from Norway.

Norway's iron-rich diet at the World Cup

It's not just about following a balanced diet suitable for this type of competition, but also about consuming typical products using Norwegian raw materials. Haaland's national team's luggage for the World Cup is heavy: inside it are 300 kilograms of fish including salmon and other species, 116 kilograms of typical Norwegian cheese and more than 6,000 oranges that will be used to prepare 15 liters of fresh juice every morning.

Norway has drawn up a comprehensive World Cup plan and has included two world-renowned chefs in its delegation, in addition to the chef who has been with the team for more than 30 years. They will be the strong point off the pitch. They will have to prepare a four-time daily buffet of different foods that will become the necessary fuel for training and matches.

During the World Cup, Norway will stay in Greensboro, North Carolina, where temperatures above 35 degrees are expected in the coming period, which will also have an impact on the dishes that will be served. A detailed organization that is not only related to the game, but to every aspect of the sport, curated down to the smallest detail, to the point of taking with them the typical products that the players usually consume.
