An Italian police operation arrested 19 people in Milan this Monday morning, linked to the ultras of Milan (Curva Sud) and those of Inter (Curva Nord).
Important leaders of two fan groups have been imprisoned, following the order given by the Court of Milan.
After a long investigation, it was discovered that the "heads" of the two fans had made a pact between them, to illegally divide the business and income that were connected to the "San Siro" stadium.
The charges are for criminal conspiracy, aimed at a series of extortions, related to the stadium section. It is about club tickets, parking, catering services and drinks sales at "San Siro", but not only.
The two sides are also accused of violence in many stadiums, attacks on security personnel, violence against rival fans, but also violence against fans who belonged to their group.
In the 19 measures given, 16 people were sentenced to prison and three others to house arrest. Arrested for the aforementioned charges, is also the leader of "Curva Nord" Andrea Beretta, who has been in prison for several weeks, for the murder of Antonio Bellocco, a member of "Ndraghetta". However, the investigation is not related to drug trafficking.
The leader of "Curva Sud", Luca Lucci, was also arrested, along with his brother, Francesco. Fedez's bodyguard, Christian Rosiello, was also taken into custody. According to reports from Italy, investigations by anti-mafia prosecutors began after the murder of the former leader of "Curva Nord", Vittorio Boicchi, in October 2022.
The leaders of "Curva Nord" are accused of having paved the way for the mafia, to favor the "Ndraghetta" clan, with the entry of Belocco into the fan group. A few weeks after Boicchi's death, Antonio Berlocci began to gain ground in the Inter fan base, thanks to the help of Beretta, who was a support for his criminal reputation.
Together they would oversee Curva Nord's funding methods, such as selling match tickets at inflated prices, paid protection against peddlers selling T-shirts as well as counterfeit tickets and illegal entry into matches, often with the cooperation with security personnel.
