Sad, the legend of Albanian volleyball passes away

Black in Albanian volleyball. volleyball legend Vangjel Koja has passed away at the age of 91.

The "Father" of netball sports, as everyone called him, reached his peak as a coach, when he was leading Dynamo men's volleyball, where he managed to dominate the court, becoming absolute champions in the 70s-90s, while leaving his mark and in the European arena.

Under his leadership, the capital city managed to enter among the 4 best teams in Europe, while later he was entrusted with the bench of the Albanian national team. Homages will be held this Monday at the Church of Saint Sotir in Korça.
