Gigi Buffon and Ilaria D'Amico have crowned their love with marriage.

Their ceremony took place at Villa Olivia in Lucca , a picturesque location that gathered hundreds of special guests.

Among those present were well-known names such as Luciano Spalletti, the former defenders of Juventus and the Italian national team, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, and Andrea Barzagli .

Among the VIPs was actress Monica Bellucci , accompanied by director Tim Burton.

The love story between the former legendary goalkeeper of Juventus, now 47 years old, and the 51-year-old presenter began in 2013.

Their wedding was celebrated in a magnificent 16th century villa, surrounded by a stunning view of the hills of Lucca.

The event was small and intimate, adhering to the couple's tradition of maintaining their privacy.

For the ceremony, their friend, Francesca Fogar, a well-known writer and journalist, was chosen to officiate.

Buffon had witnesses such as Alessandro Nesta, Paolo Luchi and Gianluca Baccarini, while Ilaria chose as witnesses Monica Bellucci, Georgia Cavazzano and journalist Angela Pedrini.

For Ilaria D'Amico, this is her first marriage. She was previously in a long-term relationship with Rocco Attisani, with whom she has a son, Pietro, but it never progressed to marriage.

While Buffon was previously married to Alena Seredova, but separated after a strong feeling of love arose between him and Ilaria. In 2016, they became parents to their son, Leopoldo Mattia.
