Kevin De Bruyne has announced his departure from Manchester City. After 10 years with the club, the player and the English club will part ways at the end of the current season.

The Belgian's contract is expiring and he has decided not to renew it, leaving as a free agent. The player himself announced the news of his departure from Manchester City, through a long letter on social media.

"Dear Manchester! Seeing this, you know what's coming. So I'll be direct in telling you that these will be my last months as a Manchester City player.

It's not easy to write, but as footballers, we know this day will come. This day has come and it's good that you find out beforehand.

Football brought me to all of you and to this city. Following my dream, not knowing it would change my life. This city, this club, these people gave me everything. I had no other choice. And we won everything.

Whether we like it or not, it's time to say goodbye. My children and I are grateful for what this place means to us. Our children's passport will always be Manchester.

"It will always be our home. Words are not enough for the 10 years that have passed. Every story has an end, but this is the best chapter. Let's enjoy the last moments. With lots of love," De Bruyne wrote.

The 33-year-old has won six Premier League titles, a Champions League and an FA Cup, in over 400 appearances for Manchester City.
