Bayern begins talks with Fisnik Asllani

Bayern Munich have taken the first steps towards signing Fisnik Asllani, with German journalist Florian Plettenberg reporting that the German champions have held “concrete talks” with the TSG Hoffenheim striker. The Bavarian club are looking for a reliable replacement for Harry Kane, while Nicolas Jackson, currently on loan, is expected to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.

Asllani has emerged as a real option for Bayern, thanks to his impressive form this season. The Kosovo international is Hoffenheim's top scorer in the Bundesliga this season, with five goals so far. His performances have attracted the attention of many of Europe's top clubs, putting the 23-year-old at the centre of the upcoming summer transfer window.

A key element is the striker's release clause, which is only activated at the end of the season. This makes his departure almost certain, and interested clubs have already started the race to secure his services. Bayern, who have been following the player for a long time, have gone a step further by holding direct talks with the player about a possible move to the Allianz Arena next summer.

However, the Bavarians are not the only ones in the race. Barcelona are also reportedly interested in Asllani, which significantly increases the competition for his signature.
