Matthijs de Ligt

Matthijs de Ligt's adventure at Juventus may have come to an end. In recent weeks, there has been a lot of insistence on the player's desire to leave the Whites. In the background, total pressure from Chelsea, but their offer has been rejected by Juventus.

Cherubini and the managers of the Old Lady were clear immediately: the player will leave only in the face of an offer close to 100 million euros. Stagnation in negotiations with Chelsea allowed Bayern Munich to force their way into the operation and contact Juventus to formulate their proposal.

In fact, according to Sky Germany, the Bavarians were immediately ahead of the Blues, so much so that they got the player 'ok' to move to Bavaria after the meeting between the Dutchman's agents and the German club. Christian Falk, Sport BILD journalist, has confirmed the progress of the negotiations.

It remains to convince Juventus of the amount that will be poured into the coffers of the whites. The Bavarians want to make a total investment of 70 million euros, which has not moved Agnelli at all, who wants at least 80. Figures that will surely allow Juventus to give the final approval to the deal and collect a huge amount of money that would allow them to immediately buy a strong defender to support Bonucci: Koulibaly is the first name at the top of Cherubini's list.

Meanwhile, the club was clear in the words of Maurizio Arrivabene: "These are players who follow the advice of prosecutors or colleagues instead of the club - he explains referring to the negotiations that De Ligt is taking away from Juventus - it is difficult to keep a player against his will ... But all three parties should leave the negotiation table satisfied".

In the end, De Ligt's will would prevail anyway. The Dutch player had stated on more than one occasion, during public interviews, that he was not satisfied with the white and white technical project, especially after the two championships ended in fourth place. He needs new challenges and Bayern is definitely the solution that pleases him the most.
