Friday was a long day for Kristjan Asllani, who was officially unveiled as Besiktas' newest player. His scheduled flight on Thursday was postponed due to a malfunction in his plane.
After arriving in Istanbul and completing his medical, the Albanian national team midfielder met his teammates. The meeting with Milot Rashica was cordial and there was no shortage of jokes in Albanian between them. The two Albanians even introduced themselves to one of the staff members as brothers.
The 23-year-old then trained with the rest of the squad and was put under the coach's care. Kristjan Asllani was loaned from Inter to Besiktas for the rest of the season, with an option to buy his card for around 10 million euros. In the first half of the year he was part of Torino, but the latter decided to terminate the loan.
Rey Manaj is also expected to land in Turkey today to sign with the Sivasspor team, after terminating his contract with the Al Sharjah team, which he thanked on social media.
