Albania will participate in Bits & Pretzels 2026, one of the important startup and innovation events in Europe, which will take place in Munich, Germany, from September 28 to 30, 2026.

A new generation of Albanian entrepreneurs is thinking beyond the boundaries of a small market, with bigger ideas and the ambition to compete internationally.

Talents and startups start their own journey, but access to knowledge, capital, networks, partnerships and international markets is the mechanism that should support them towards further growth and development. Therefore, this partnership marks another significant step in expanding the international map of the Albanian ecosystem.

With the support of Startup Albania and EU4Innovation (GIZ), Albania will be presented with 17 Albanian startups, which through the success of their individual initiatives, will also convey the full panorama of the development of the innovation ecosystem in Albania, which from the fragmented initiatives of several individuals and donors, is being shaped towards a more consolidated ecosystem, where innovative ideas find acceleration programs, mentoring and opportunities to connect with international partners and investors.

Participation in Bits & Pretzels 2026 follows an increasingly active presence of Albanian startups in important international innovation events, from "ITB Berlin" to "VivaTech" and "Slush".

Bits & Pretzels Founders Festival is expected to gather around 7,500 founders, investors and industry leaders from Europe and the world.  

For entrepreneurs from smaller European ecosystems, such as Albania, who aim to internationalize, events like Bits & Pretzels have an importance that goes beyond conference participation, which is the creation of a concrete platform for promotion and collaboration.
