An explosion occurred at a gas station in the "Skënderbeu" neighborhood in Saranda this afternoon. 

It was previously reported that two people were injured as a result of the explosion and were transported to Saranda Hospital.

Fatmir Pema, 39, suffered burns to his body, while Florian Bica, 27, was taken to hospital after suffering shock from the explosion.

Immediately after the incident, numerous police forces and fire services arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area and are working to ensure safety.

Meanwhile, the investigation group is working to determine the circumstances and cause of the explosion, while further information is expected to emerge regarding the incident and the health condition of the injured.
