Maneuvering a car on the sidewalk while filming a TikTok video and endangering the lives of passersby has cost a citizen in Berat dearly.

 The police have punished him with a fine of 60 thousand lek and withdrawal of his driving license due to the lack of technical inspection and insurance.

Police announcement:

Berat/Moving by vehicle, on the sidewalk, in the city, is punished with an administrative measure of 60,000 lek and the driving license is revoked.

After the publication on the social network "TikTok" of a video showing a vehicle moving on the sidewalk, on a street in the city of Berat, endangering the lives and safety of citizens, the Traffic Police services of the Berat DVP carried out investigative actions to identify the driver of the vehicle.   

At the conclusion of the actions, the driver of the vehicle, citizen IL, was identified, who was escorted to the Police Station, where further procedural actions were carried out.   

In the end, citizen IL was fined 60,000 lek, and his driving license was revoked, as a check of the vehicle's documentation revealed that it had no technical inspection and no insurance.    

The Berat Local Police Directorate thanks citizens for their contribution in identifying violations of road traffic rules and invites them to continue to report any case of illegality, at number 112.
