Eric Wendt has once again avoided meeting with Sali Berisha. After the lack of an invitation for the leader of the Democratic Party of Albania to the reception organized in Tirana, this time too he was not present at the meeting held by the American ambassador with representatives of the opposition.

Wendt, accompanied by two American senators who are currently staying in Albania, met with several Democratic MPs, including Oerd Bylykbashi, Jorida Tabaku and Ivi Kaso, as well as representatives of other small parties.

The meeting takes place at a time when Berisha continues to be declared non grata by the United States, on charges related to corruption and undermining democracy. The American measure also includes his family members.

We recall that today, Ambassador Wendt and the two American senators also held a meeting at the Special Prosecutor's Office where they were received by the head of the institution, Klodian Braho, and the head of the National Bureau of Investigation, Joni Keta.
