The leader of the Democratic Party,  Sali Berisha, has reacted to the approval by 85 votes of the new territorial map, accusing the majority MPs of criminal interests and political blackmail.

In a conversation with citizens on social media, the leader of the Democratic Party (DP) rejected the arguments of the majority MPs regarding the number of residents who will be represented by the new local units.

"You heard the criminal deputies who only have criminal interests, how they deceived us that we have established a municipality for 13 thousand inhabitants. Sukthi, Manza, Ishmi have 105 thousand inhabitants, but these have been annihilated. With our map, they all existed. What remains indelible from the citizen's memory was the fact how these criminal deputies, hostages of their villas and businesses, lined up one after the other, were humiliated and blackmailed and in the end voted for their master", said Berisha.

He warned that the DP will use all legal means to challenge the decision.

"The DP will pursue all legal avenues, but warns that in a narco-state, the legal avenue is a falsehood. The narco-government does not allow referendums, however, we will use every legal means against this act," declared the leader of the Democrats.
