Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has launched another verbal attack on European countries, accusing them of being active parties in the war against Russia through their military support for Ukraine.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Lavrov rejected Western accusations that Moscow is waging a hybrid war against European countries and argued that it is Europe itself that is acting against Russia.

"I have no doubt that this is a war that Europe is waging against us," the head of Russian diplomacy declared, referring to the arms shipments and military assistance that European countries are providing to Kiev.

His comments came in response to questions regarding Western countries' allegations that Russia is using hybrid methods to destabilize European states.

This is not the first time Lavrov has used harsh tones towards Europe.

The day before, during statements made at the United Nations headquarters in New York, he warned that the European continent is preparing for a direct confrontation with Russia.

"Today it is Europe that is preparing for war with us. They constantly repeat that, by 2030 at the latest, Europeans must be ready for war. Currently, large sums of money are being invested in weapons production," he said.

Lavrov went even further in his statements, warning of serious consequences in the event of a direct conflict between Russia and European countries.

"If they attack us, because we will not sit idly by, then the war that will break out will be completely different from the one in Ukraine and will be short," the Russian minister declared, in a comment that has been interpreted as a threat to Western countries.
