The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the opposition's request at the Conference of Speakers for a motion with debate regarding the SHISH case was rejected.
Bardhi stated that the Assembly is avoiding responsibility in relation to the security of the Republic of Albania, which according to him is unprecedented in a democratic state.
"I condemn the blocking of the request for debate by the majority. It is unthinkable that the Assembly would evade responsibility in relation to the security of the Republic of Albania. This is not a matter of justice. The issue of justice is to put behind bars and face legal responsibility whoever committed this criminal offense. The Assembly does not have this competence, but it does have the competence to control the executive branch and institutions, including SHISH. Within the framework of this function, it has the responsibility to discuss one of the most unprecedented acts in a democratic country. We have no business with the SPAK investigation, except to let them do their job, to urge them to carry out their work to the end and to get to the bottom of this problem. The head is not Vlora Hyseni. The head of this affair, of the criminalization of state institutions and the use of state institutions as a protective mechanism against organized crime, is undoubtedly Rama", said Bardhi.
